Systems of Desire - Control (Out July on Happy Skull)
Haven’t posted on here for a while, but just had to tell you all about this new release. I’ve been itching to hear this for a while now and gosh it was worth the wait. Dear friends of mine, The Kelly Twins have launched their own label Happy Skull, with their debut release coming from Systems of Desire. Who is that you might ask? It’s the new collaborative project from Kowton and Hyetal. So you know it’s gonna be killer before you’ve even heard it! Wow. I love it! I wish the guys all the success with their new project and judging by the sounds of their first release, they’re on to a very good thing.

The Beautiful Bugs Of Bedminster
Bedminster Town Team will unveil 82 unique bugs which will take over BS3 from 16th March 2013.
Each unique and beautiful bug will take pride of place on buildings, in shops and throughout Bedminster’s streets, with organisers inviting visitors to spot each of the critters on the trail and post pictures to Facebook to win a graffiti workshop with one of the bug artists.
The ‘Beautiful Bugs of Bedminster’ trail is being organised by local curators Upfest and painted by a host of artists and schools. The initiative is being supported by the Co-operative store which has a local branch on North Street.

Spaced Out Family EP
A sample of the six psychedelic instrumental hip hop tracks which combine 70’s free experimental sounds as the first stop, passing through the golden era of rap breaks and ending in the vanguard of the contemporary abstract electronic beats scene. The Spaced Out Family consists of Peter Pank, Losen & Lost Twin; a collective which is split between Seville and Brighton.
Ben UFO will be in the Boiler Room playing records all afternoon tomorrow
Szjerdene - Arrow(s)
I’ve been a huge fan of Szjerdene since I heard her beautiful cover of Savath y Savalas (Prefuse 73) tracks ‘Folk Song For Cello’. To celebrate the re-release of the Patchwork EP on Ninja Tune and the upcoming feature of her collaboration with Bonobo on ‘The North Borders’ album (Apr 2.) Szjerdene releases ‘Arrow(s)’. A vocal cover of ‘Arrow’ by Jacques Greene ft Koreless. Mixed by Mar. You can grab the free download which adds to her series of vocal covers over existing tracks by her favourite producers.
