Systems of Desire - Control (Out July on Happy Skull)
Haven’t posted on here for a while, but just had to tell you all about this new release. I’ve been itching to hear this for a while now and gosh it was worth the wait. Dear friends of mine, The Kelly Twins have launched their own label Happy Skull, with their debut release coming from Systems of Desire. Who is that you might ask? It’s the new collaborative project from Kowton and Hyetal. So you know it’s gonna be killer before you’ve even heard it! Wow. I love it! I wish the guys all the success with their new project and judging by the sounds of their first release, they’re on to a very good thing.

Tape-Echo Publication - Issue One
After a long time in the making, the first issue of the Tape-Echo publication is here: a 32 page, full colour, quarter fold newspaper filled with interviews and features on the most relevant happenings in the underground electronic music. The whole Tape-Echo project is based on a love of underground music, DIY culture and fanzines, this publication is the physical manifestation of our online work.
The slower pace of the print world gives us the time to compile well researched, informative and interesting features with bespoke photography and artwork. Everything in the publication has been commissioned especially for the issue, from the words to the photographs to the design and packaging.

I just want to say a really embarrassing bit for the guys at the end of this post… I’ve seen all the hard work that has gone in to making this paper behind the scenes. The love and passion Tape-Echo have for the Bristol scene and music in general is inspiring. In the copy and paste, digital era that we live in, the chance to have something physical with fresh and interesting articles and photography, is something that should be celebrated. Well done guys ♥

Peng Sound and Tape-Echo join forces once again to create a rare opportunity for some of our favourite selectors to dig deep in their record boxes and dust off some forgotten gems. Expect the finest selection of classic dubstep, grime and early garage, deployed on the High Pressure sound system… and not a laptop or CDJ in sight.
All at one of my favourite venues in Bristol, Take 5 Cafe. Pure basement vibes, on Friday 9th December. £4 all night! Get involved Bristol peeps!
Kowton - Untitled
